Since 1986 guitar virtuosos of every style have played on the Paderborn International Guitar Festival which was initiated by Toto Blanke and which is still under his direction. The names of the artists who have played there up to now can be read as the “Who is Who” of the guitar scene. The light - and sound engineering for the
festival concerts is arranged by Ekkehard Czerwinski and Alexander Derben of Aliso Records. The festival is presented by Aliso Records with a special CD series. At present 2 Cds of the `94 and `99 concerts are available. 2004 is in preparation. 2006 (for the first time organized by the “Schule für Musik”, Paderborn) is planned to be published at the end of this year.
